NFMAA Board Members and atttending members surprised President Judy Biddle at the Membership Meeting on 9/27, where Janet Sams gave a delightful and engaging presentation of her particular art form - shattered glass. Thank you, Janet. And, WELCOME TO NFMAA Membership.
Several members participated in this project and spoke of Judy's many accomplishments for NFMAA over the past year. She was given a rose bouquet as reminder of how much her intense labors FOR the growth of NFMAA is appreciated by the members.

FINE ARTS SHOW & SALE, Opens Sat., 10/26, at 9:00 a.m. The Judge for this show is Mona Mandell of the University of Miami FL.
There will also be a PEOPLES' CHOICE AWARD given to the one with the most votes from the public visitors.
A SILENT AUCTION will also be open with lots of interesting donations from anyone wishing to participate.
THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS Friday, 9/27. You must communicate with the Event Coordinator, Sunny Grabert at ronsunnylee@embarqmail.com. She will have a few questions for you and what you may need for your display.
All NFMAA members will have no entrance fee. Non-members will be welcomed for a $25.00 fee. This will then make them NFMAA members and eligible for all such events and benefits. All meeting are held on the last Friday of each month - year round. Attendance is encouraged. Meetings currently being held at the N. Ft. Myers Library, Rm D, 2001 N. Tamiami Trail (US 41 N).

This event will encompass a Judged Art Show & Sale in the main dining room, a People's Choice Awards, a SILENT AUCTION (in the main lobby), where you can also pick up your ballot for the People's Choice Awards, and a membership table.
ALL purchase may be made by cash or credit/debit card. If by credit/debit card, there will be a 10% processing fee taken from the artist's proceeds which will be reflected in their payment within 10 days after the event.
This process, however, does not apply to any Silent Auction winning bid. This is NFMAA's only FUND RAISER.
These events will all come to a close with a brief closing ceremony and awards given, led by President Judy Biddle in the Main Dining Room, 3:00 p.m.

Refreshments will be provided by the Calusa Harbour Senior Living Center throughout this event.

Come and enjoy the scenery, the camaraderie, and the exciting art show & sale and the Silent Auction. Don't forget to pick up your People's Choice Ballot at the Silent Auction area.

SADLY, THE ART 'EXTRAVAGANZA' NFMAA CHARTER EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE IMMEDIATE CLOSING OF THE SHELL FACTORY SITE.
Our Board of Directors and the Event Chair are seeking possible new/AVAILABLE locations to move forward with this event. As plans get readjusted, we will be sharing the new event with all of you.

There will be NO Pre-Opening ceremony preceeding the EXTRAVAGANZA JURIED ART SHOW & SALE at the Calusa Harbour Retirement Center on 10/25/24. Hanging will occur on 10/25, 7- 9 p.m. &/or 10/26, 8 - 9 a.m. And all unsold hangings or displays must be removed from the site at the end of this show. NFMAA members particpate at no fee. The EXTRAVAGANZA SHOW AND SALE will take place at Calusa Harbour, 2525 First St., in downtown Ft. Myers on October 26th, from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
There will be a Silent Auction and Membership area set up in the Main Entrance. The Show will occur in the Main Dining Room overlooking the Caloosahatchee River.

"NEW BEGINNINGS" fully describes our new partnership with Gulf Coast Village, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd, Cape Coral 33991. The GRAND OPENING of this month-long show will occur on Nov. 5th @ 4:00 p.m. & conclude at 6:00 p.m. All artistic displays (including paintings in different mediums, fiber arts, jewelry, pottery., etc.) - we're open to what our NFMAA members and resident artists living at GCV. This show is being curated by Sherrie Saidon,
GCV Lifestyle Coordinator and Sunny Grabert, NFMAA member & artist. As you enter the lobby you will be greeted by NFMAA members & GCV residents and workers, while Barbara Adkins is playing on the Baby Grand Piano in the Resident's Lobby. You will get there when you stroll down the hallway of arts, admiring all the lovely artworks on display. In the Resident's Lobby you will find delicious hors d'ouevre prepared by teh GCV Chef and his assistants, and a glass of champagne for toasting at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.. The speakers here will be Ryan Keller, Regional Director, VOA/GCV; NFMAA President, Judy Biddle; and Cape Coral & N Ft Myers Chambers of Commerce Presidents.
You may purchase any of the ForSale artworks on display at this function, but they must remain in the show until Dec.6th when you can then pick them up - OR you may ask one of greeters/members to place a hold on your item until you can pick it up on Dec. 6th - between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. - and pay for your item/s at that time.
